One topic addressed in ENEFIRST Plus is how the Energy Efficiency First principle can be implemented in incentives. This has been first investigated about the case of electricity tariffs, and more specifically the design of electricity tariffs and what they include.
Two resources were developed by Zsuzsanna Pató (Regulatory Assistance Project), and discussed as part of Poland’s pilot case done by Paweł Gilewski and Hanna Pilzak (KAPE).
The BILL EXPLAINER is a briefing to explain the electricity bill for consumer organisations, transport and building stakeholders. It explains the elements of the electricity bill and how they are defined, illustrates the variety of tariff designs by visualising some key design options, and provides some recommendations on how consumers can reduce the bill.
The MAP OF ELECTRICITY TARIFFS showcases the multitude of smart tariffs used in Europe by collecting data from public sources on availability and uptake.
